They draw their strength from times when they are completely with themselves. They reflect on themselves and their counterpart, engaging emotionally and mentally. They always keep the other person's well-being in mind, listen attentively, and engage intensely with the other person. Furthermore have s have the gift of being completely present with the other person – unless they are overstimulated. Dealing with groups, this trait is perceived as very exhausting. That's why they **Introverted HSPs** prefer to be with one or two people. They usually have few friendships, characterized by strong depth and connection. In large groups, they usually appear reserved, sometimes anxious. **Introverted HSPs** partially hold back their feelings (anger, joy, hurt, enthusiasm...), if they have had the experience that other people react irritably to their emotions. In part, they have developed such a strong "poker face" that others do not even suspect what is going on inside them. **Introverted highly sensitive people** often have a public and a private self. This way, they can appear very focused, organized, tough, and "grown-up" at work. Privately, they tend to be more playful, naive, and sometimes a bit "scatterbrained". ## Introverted High Sensitivity and Communication They find small talk superficial and exhausting. Small talk situations are for many **Introverted HSPs** unpleasant. They are rather thoughtful. A topic is first thought through carefully and emotionally felt before they comment on it. If you ask them what is going on inside them, it takes a while until they can put their inner experience into words.
